Intolerance

Times have changed they say... My understanding of the changed times is expressed in a few words below.

Hearing the little kids these days speak, it astonishes me how much information their little and developing brains have to process these days.

When I see the effects of knowledge
bombardment and results of excess in everything I do wonder if these li'l ones really do require so much information. What I have seen growing up all these days is that people have lots of books, lots of sources of information, but very little knowledge. Lot of plastic cards, little money. Big houses, little hearts. Lot of communication sources, little meaningful and refreshing talk.

The more the world grows the more the intolerance. Ample evidences are seen in the way people react to situations. Though some of these instances are media fed, does it not mean that media sells what sells? Media is a mirror of the society they say. Pull out a newspaper, you will not pass a week without reading a high-profile rape, suicide bomb blast, crap regarding some high-profile flings, some religious guy blasting all other religions. Believe me, I used the high-profile were carefully above. We all clearly know that what goes into the headlines is always a minuscule part of what happens all over the world.

Mankind is blessed with brain that can understand but are we understanding these days. Look at the wry smiles you get from our so-called intelligent and well-educated folks when you speak about sexually deficient people (you call also call them with various names like gays, etc.)

It high time we start understanding rather than becoming knowledgeable. Understanding that there are different sets of people, with different sexual orientation, different beliefs, different ways of attire, different culture, different financial situations.

We do not need to change everything present around us. We just might be required to walk around different people with different thinking, just that, nothing more nothing less.
