Intolerance

Times have changed they say... My understanding of the changed times is expressed in a few words below.

Hearing the little kids these days speak, it astonishes me how much information their little and developing brains have to process these days.

When I see the effects of knowledge
bombardment and results of excess in everything I do wonder if these li'l ones really do require so much information. What I have seen growing up all these days is that people have lots of books, lots of sources of information, but very little knowledge. Lot of plastic cards, little money. Big houses, little hearts. Lot of communication sources, little meaningful and refreshing talk.

The more the world grows the more the intolerance. Ample evidences are seen in the way people react to situations. Though some of these instances are media fed, does it not mean that media sells what sells? Media is a mirror of the society they say. Pull out a newspaper, you will not pass a week without reading a high-profile rape, suicide bomb blast, crap regarding some high-profile flings, some religious guy blasting all other religions. Believe me, I used the high-profile were carefully above. We all clearly know that what goes into the headlines is always a minuscule part of what happens all over the world.

Mankind is blessed with brain that can understand but are we understanding these days. Look at the wry smiles you get from our so-called intelligent and well-educated folks when you speak about sexually deficient people (you call also call them with various names like gays, etc.)

It high time we start understanding rather than becoming knowledgeable. Understanding that there are different sets of people, with different sexual orientation, different beliefs, different ways of attire, different culture, different financial situations.

We do not need to change everything present around us. We just might be required to walk around different people with different thinking, just that, nothing more nothing less.

World's Worst Attrocities & Leadership!

I got to read "World's Worst Attrocities" accidentally. The author has tried to explain in subtle way about the horrendous crimes man has committed through ages and some as recently as 1970's.

And most often it were the zealot leaders who, to satisfy their ego and false prestige, lead such attrocities for years.

It reminds me of one thing I had learnt in school. Tools are provided for the convinience of humans. How to use it, is solely dependent on the person who uses it. For eg, Knife is a tool. It can be used for aiding man in cutting blunt things or can be used for negative things like killing/hurting others.

Similarly, if you consider leadership qualities as a tool, it's usage can be done for getting positive or negative results! It's high time man learns to behave himself! :)

Our times

We have taller buildings but shorter tempers,
wider roads but narrower view points.
We spend more but have less,
buy more but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families,
more conveniences but less time.
We have more degrees but less sense,
more knowledge but less judgment,
more experts yet more problems,
more medicines but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much,
spend recklessly, laugh too little,
drive too fast, get too angry,
stay up too late, get up too tired,
read too little, watch TV too much,
and pray too seldom

We have learned how to make a living, not a life
We have added years to life, not life to years,
We have been all the way to moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.
We have conquered the outer space, but not inner space.
We have done larger things, but not better things.

We plan more, but accomplish less.
We have learned to rush, but not to wait.
We have more information, but we communicate less and less…

Tryin to be my tru self - Only one day

History they say is never complete... I too believe in that... Never has history been told completely. .. They may been several layers hidden beneath lots of covered up emotions.. May be a few in this world could have uncovered them to make it a complete picture.. may be they made an effort, may be they never tried...

here are untold stories of people having fallen apart, people who suffered in the hands of cruel rogues or people who just did not understand the true meaning of life..

Just sitting back on a Sunday morning, when I think how much I have hidden from myself, may be if I had been true to myself if I could have been different. May be life could have turned different if I had revealed to others about those things which I tried to hide from myself...

Just try guys, once in a while, try to peeep deeeeep in those layers of your heart and try to pluck those little things on how you think but the exact opposite we react in given circumstances not being true to ourselves.

me.... really trying to be a philospher????.. not really!!!... dont think those big words are for me .. a truely waste fellow.... just felt like peeping deep into myself one day of my not so fruitful life...

Anyways guys...peace or shanti (not a girl) for me means feeling happy one day... i mean the last day of my life... that I did something which the guy sitting on top where I might reach if lucky enough thinks was good enough for him having given me a little time to play on his playground..

Trying to be my true self
